Holy Mountain Brewing | Seattle, WA
Micro Brewery
Beer Count: 476
Description: Holy Mountain is a brewery and taproom located in the Interbay neighborhood of Seattle. Founders Colin Lenfesty & Mike Murphy met while working together at a local Seattle brewery and found common ground in their shared interest in oak-inspired beers.
After 3 years of planning and recipe development, the guys signed a lease on a 10,000SF building in early 2014 and began production in September 2014.
The influence of oak has been a central thread of Holy Mountain since day one and a sizable building near the Seattle waterfront has allowed the team to build a vast stock of oak barrels, puncheons and foudres used for both primary fermentation as well as long-term aging. The proximity of the brewery to the Yakima Valley also allows Holy Mountain to utilize hops from the best producers in the world, exploring the relationship between hop, oak and mixed fermentation.
Holy Mountain doesn't offer any year-round beers, which creates an ever changing lineup in the brewery taproom. In addition to oak-influenced beers, Holy Mountain also offers a wise range of rotating hop-forward, stainless fermented ales and lagers.
