Description: One of the brew team's favorite styles, this Black IPA is the best of two worlds. The dark malts used give a restrained yet present roast character. We used a healthy dose of Cascade and Amarillo hops late in the boil and whirlpooled with whole leaf Cascade hops to impart some wonderful floral and earthy pine notes to compliment the roastiness of the malt. Dry hopped with Amarillo, Cascade, and Nugget hops, the finish on this beer imparts fantastic dark fruit and herbal pine notes that balance out a hoppy finish.
