Description: Caterpillar is the first vintage of our wild ale series. This golden sour was inoculated with a mixed culture of brewer’s yeast and native wild microflora from our brewery grounds in Fulton. It was then left to age in French oak wine barrels for 11 months. Our Proximity Project Series Ales are aged in red wine barrels from Pollak Vineyards in Greenwood, VA. The simplicity and complexity of the beer, and the wood it lives within, is at the core of our Proximity Project.
