Heritage English Pale Ale | River City Brewing (Washington)
ABV: 7.1%
IBU: 40
Style: Pale Ale - English
Out of Production
Description: English pale ales, also called ESB’s, are typically darker and a bit sweeter than an American Pale Ale. Ours is dark copper in color, dry-hopped to give life to botanical hop aroma with a yeasty undertone and is finished with a malty sweetness. It’s a bit stronger than it seems at 7.1% ABV, but very drinkable and, we like to think it’s like most of our beers in being very balanced and with a clean finish. This beer tastes great served cold, but its malt flavors deepen when it warms up a bit, just like the heritage of English pale ales across the pond.
