Description: This pastry stout was built from the ground up to showcase the fantastic single-origin cacao we get from our friends at Cru Chocolate, along with a couple other harmonious flavors. We started with a large addition (think huge duffel bags) of cacao husks in the mash, which lended a rich chocolate aroma before the beer even went into the fermenter. After fermentation, we infused a hand-picked blend of cacao nibs from Honduras, Guatemala and Nicaragua. On top of that, we brought in some of chocolate’s best friends: a large addition of freshly-toasted hazelnuts, and vanilla beans from Brazil selected for their chocolatey undertones. The resulting beer is big and decadent, with a punch of hazelnut on the nose, huge flavors of rich, complex choco
