Sunbeam’s Shadow With Fresh Ginger | Modern Methods Brewing Company
ABV: 5.0%
Style: Lager - Japanese Rice
Actively Produced
Description: With the days getting shorter and the mornings crisper, we're taking every opportunity to bask in the last of the summer sun. This Friday we welcome a brand new beer to the MM lineup that's a perfect companion on this quest. The Japanese language has a word, “komorebi,” which describes the phenomenon of light shining through tree leaves. Those little shadows of light on the ground? Those neat beams? That’s “komorebi.” Like komorebi, this beer doesn’t have a direct translation. Inspired by traditional Japanese lagers, we brewed a lager with rice to lighten it up and color and elevate its crispness. We then dry-hopped with the experimental hop HBC-586, which gives Sunbeam a bright, tropical flavor and aroma. We taste mango and a bit of guav
