Winesap | Lassen Traditional Cidery

ABV: 8.5%
Style: Cider - Other
Actively Produced
Description: A "not quite" single varietal dry cider made from about 80% Winesap apples, with the remainder consisting of Newtown Pippin, Granny Smith, Golden Delicious, and Arkansas Black. Wild fermented in neutral French oak red wine barrels. The Winesap apple is an heirloom variety commonly said to have a vinous, or wine-like, flavor and has a long history of being used for cider. Makes a delicious, approachable cider when combined with the honey-like aromas of the Golden Delicious and the acid tang of the Granny Smith and Newtown Pippin.
