Description: Our Terroir Project beers are co-fermentations of grapes and grains in collaboration with the legendary Firestone Walker Brewing Co.! For our 2020 release, we crushed by foot 2,000 pounds of hand-harvested, whole-cluster Zinfandel grapes grown in Sulphur Bluff, Texas. We then let the crushed grapes spontaneously ferment for about 5 days before adding several hundred gallons of pale, lightly hopped wort (unfermented beer). We then let the grape must and wort spontaneously ferment to total dryness before racking the beer/wine hybrid to neutral oak barrels for malolactic fermentation and maturation. About a year later, we blended the beer/wine hybrid and 100% naturally conditioned it in bottles and kegs. 2020 Terroir Project is 6.9% ABV.
