Mysterious Johannisdahl | Hophead Brewery
ABV: 7.0%
IBU: 200
Style: IPA - American
Actively Produced
Description: Some centuries ago, before Peter the Great times, when the North belonged to the Swedes and was called Ingermanland, there lived governor general named Johan Skytte. West of Krasnoye Selo he set up a town, Johannesdal. He leaved in great comfort, travelers came to his town, put the town on maps, brewed stout and tasty beer there. And then Skytte was removed from his post and moved back to Sweden. He felt bitter because of losing his baby, very bitter. He died in 1645. Since that time there were no mentions of mysterious Johannesdal, and, they say, the baron took the town along to a better world. So as to console the baron’s spirit, we brewed truly bitter, 200 IBU, mysterious IPA with citrus notes. We hope the bitterness of Centennial, Columbus, Amarillo, Simcoe and Citra hops mixture will comfort the old man even in another world.
