Estate Cider | Good Road CiderWorks
ABV: 6.0%
Style: Cider - Other
Actively Produced
Description: This cider is a true “home grown” cider. Century old apple trees grow on the Davis family mountain home in the town of Newland in Avery County. The apples from these trees are rare enough that hours of research still have not been able to conclude which specific varieties they are. The apples were hand-picked by GoodRoad investors and friends, pressed at GoodRoad and then allowed to ferment naturally with the wild yeast that surrounds those apple trees. The result is a dry cider with great apple aroma and flavor, layers of tannins and a slight funkiness from the wild yeast. This is a truly limited release as we have only one 5 gallon keg.
