Description: Putting our Fieldwork twist on a classic style, we did what we do best and left out all specialty malt, relying strictly on our base malt and Belgian candi syrup for the red hue of this beer. This gives us an oversized red ale that remains dry, drinkable, and void of malt character while providing really nice cracker-jack and roasted dark fruit notes. However, the star of this beer is still the hops. We loaded our Hoppy Red with an equal blend of Southern Hemisphere and Northern Hemisphere hops to provide a complex aroma hitting upfront notes of pine and grapefruit, only to give way to more tropical fruit and dank-like flavors you will rarely find in a red ale. Deep red but not malty, toffee-like backbone but not sweet, typically boring style but obnoxiously flavorful and delicious; Delta Hoppy Red is truly a beer you'd think was penned by Robert Louis Stevenson.
