Seggie Porter | Eden Mill Distillery & Brewery St. Andrews
ABV: 5.2%
Style: Porter - Other
Actively Produced
Description: The Auld Seggie Porter This is based on a classic recipe for porter which dates from the 17th Century. The recipe is consistent with that made locally at the Seggie brewery at the end of the 19th Century when it is understood to have been a 'signature beer' of the brewery. It includes a blend of pale, chocolate, black and munich malt along with roasted barley and of course the more unusual (now a days) brown malt. A very high proportion of this is sourced locally to the West of Cupar which we understand to be consistent with the practise of the brewery in the 1860-1890 period.
