Description: This is an imperial (high gravity & alcohol) stout with extremely rich malt aroma and flavor with full sweet malt character. Making this ale very unique is the use of Tart Montmorency Cherry and Zinfandel Grape Must (must = crushed grapes, including skins, seeds and stems used to make wine.) The Zinfandel grape must provides a very vinous (wine-like) flavor and character. This creates a unique blend of an imperial stout with many wine characteristics. The tart cherries add to the fruit complexity and wine-like character of this Russian Imperial Stout.
