Kalle Met Den Oak | De Kromme Haring
ABV: 9.5%
Style: Sour - Flanders Red Ale
Actively Produced
Description: “Bluf weh van de put, andrs pakt Kalle met den oak jun!” Kalle Met Den Oak was a folklore character used to scare children away from wells and swamps in West-Flanders. It is also the name of our first foray at making a beer inspired by the unique tradition of Flanders Red ales. Kalle Met Den Oak is a strong ale that has been barrel-aged for over a year with a mixture of wild yeasts and bacteria. The malt, oak and fruity complexity of the mixed fermentation create bold sweet and sour flavours. Definitely not for children who are easily scared.
