Description: Monstre is a Belgian Golden Strong Ale topping out at 10.25% this year. Comparable to a Tripel, although lighter and crisper with floral and fruit aromas. Smooth but noticeable alcohol warmth - complex and delicate. Originally developed by the Moortgat Brewery after WWII in response to the growing popularity of pilsner beers. Deep golden tan with depth, off-white head, and Belgian lace. Subtle and complex with banana, pineapple, clove, and spice.
