Biscuits & Honey | Cape May Brewing Co.
ABV: 6.2%
IBU: 40
Style: Extra Special / Strong Bitter
Actively Produced
Description: A truly classic style, the Extra Special Bitter is all about balance. Four different specialty grains, including traditionally floor-malted Maris Otter, a hefty dose of Biscuit and Honey Malts, and Caramunich Malt lay the foundation of this refreshing brew, leading to a medium-bodied and highly quaffable ale. A traditional English ale strain is used, lending a dry, fruity note to the finish. East Kent Golding hops brings us home, and a hefty charge of South Jersey honey at the end of the boil accentuates the delicate sweetness. Like all great English ales, the carbonation is on the lower end of the spectrum allowing the complex grain bill and mild hop character to shine through without being masked. Biscuits and Honey is an easy-drinking 6.2% ABV, with a beautifully copper-colored shine and a complex variety of flavors.
