Description: Frenchman, Louis-Jaques-Mande Daguerre became one of the pioneers of photography through his interest in art. His photographic type images captured on a mirror-like silver surface became known as Daguerrotypes. Louis introduced his process to the French Academy of Sciences on 9th January 1839. So impressed were the French Government that they gave Louis a pension for life in return for his patent. On 19th August 1839, they gave the patent free to the world. The process was used widely from 1840 until the late 1850's. Hops used are French Aramis & Bouclier. August 2015 special.
