Description: Sixteen Counties is a wet hop ale, completely fermented by Brettanomyces. The grain row includes Allagash's house 2 row blend, oats, wheat and a small amount of specialty malts. The hops used were all grown in Maine and consist of Nugget, Cascade and Centennial varieties. The finished beer as a slightly herbaceous aroma along with tropical fruit and bread crumb notes. The flavor has graham cracker and kiwi, and finishes dry with a mild lingering bitterness.
