Bishop's Barrel No. 8 | Saint Arnold Brewing Company
ABV: 11.5%
IBU: 29
Style: Stout - Imperial / Double
Out of Production
Description: The base beer for Bishop’s Barrel No. 8 is the Divine Reserve No. 5 Imperial Stout recipe. It pours a brown black with a cafe au lait head. Nose is chocolate bourbon liqueur. Sweet malt and smooth roast are at the start with chocolate and bourbon coming on in the middle. Hop bitter and roast cleans the palate on the finish giving a nice focus to the beer. Overall like biting into a big block of dark chocolate. A little of the alcohol can be felt in the finish but it is surprisingly light given the 11.5% ABV. The warmer this beer gets, the better it tastes. We recommend enjoying between 55°F and 60°F.
