Description: At The Bruery, we're no strangers to decadent bourbon barrel-aged barleywines. We've also been known to push the boundaries of flavor. For Poached Fig, we sourced a copious amount of ripe Santa Barbara County figs and added 85 lbs. to each barrel of Kentucky bourbon barrel-aged barleywine. Vanilla bean along with fresh lemon zest added that final touch to make the sticky, decadent, toffee profile POP like no other. We're having a major love affair with figs. Turns out that when you combine their deep, jammy flavor with lemon zest and vanilla it adds a bright warmth to the malty, caramel tones of our bourbon barrel-aged baryleywine-style ale. Go fig...ure.
